On The Road: Through The Desert

While traveling west toward Las Vegas, the highway opened into miles of desert, mountains and rapidly changing skies. Storm clouds moved across the landscape as breaks of sunlight illuminated isolated ridges and valleys along the route.

These photographs were made from the road as we traveled through the American Southwest, capturing a landscape that seemed to change every few miles.
